Kwon Oh-jung and Seo Kyung-deok "We Made a Historical Exploration Video for Disabled Youth"

Professor Seokyungdeok from Sungshin Women's University announced on the 3rd, in celebration of 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities,' that he produced a historical exploration video for disabled youth together with actor Kwon Ohjoong.

This approximately 9-minute video, co-produced with the Seoul Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled, was released on YouTube and other platforms on the same day. It was also distributed to over 200 welfare facilities for the disabled. The video begins at the national treasure 'Wongaksa Temple Ten-Story Stone Pagoda' and introduces anti-Japanese movement sites in Jongno-gu, Seoul, such as Tapgol Park Pavilion and the site of Kim Sang-ok’s resistance and birthplace. The video includes sign language and subtitles to help hearing-impaired viewers easily understand the content.

Kwon Ohjoong said, "As a parent raising a disabled youth, I understand how important field trips are," and added, "I hope this video serves as a small guide." Professor Seokyungdeok stated, "I wanted to help disabled youth, who find outdoor activities challenging, with history education at least online," and "We plan to continuously produce videos introducing Korea’s history across various regions together with famous figures in fields that disabled youth enjoy." The Seoul Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled has been continuously conducting support projects for the disabled, such as historical explorations, through sponsorship and partnerships with the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
