DL E&C Achieves A Grade in 2024 SustainBest ESG Evaluation

DL E&C announced on the 28th that it has received an A grade in Sustainvest's 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) evaluation. This marks a one-step improvement from last year's BB grade, making it the highest rating among construction companies.

The A grade obtained by DL E&C signifies a "very excellent level of ESG risk and opportunity management." In this evaluation, DL E&C's scores in all ESG areas increased, achieving a total of 84.52 points, up 11.72 points from the previous year. Specifically, it scored a perfect 100 points in the biodiversity category of the environmental sector, where it has consistently shown strengths. In the social sector, it also received a perfect 100 points in social contribution and community-related categories. Additionally, it received evaluations significantly above the industry average in human resources, supply chain, and overall customer management.

Sustainvest, established in 2006, is a specialized ESG evaluation agency that annually reviews the ESG management levels of domestic companies and announces ratings on a seven-level scale (AA, A, BB, B, C, D, E). This evaluation covered 1,287 listed and unlisted companies in South Korea.

DL E&C has consistently received high ratings from domestic and international ESG evaluation agencies. Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) upgraded its rating from BB last year to BBB this year, and in the ESG evaluation conducted by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS), DL E&C has earned an integrated A grade for three consecutive years.

Park Sang-shin, CEO of DL E&C, commented on this achievement, saying, "This result is the outcome of our efforts to transparently disclose ESG information externally and continuously strengthen communication with stakeholders such as customers and shareholders." He added, "We will continue to carry out sustainable management activities aligned with global standards and advance as a leading company in ESG management."
