A large fire was reported at around 4:20 a.m. on the 10th at POSCO Pohang Steelworks in Jecheol-dong, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongbuk, prompting the fire authorities to respond.

원본보기 아이콘According to the fire authorities, multiple fire trucks and personnel are currently being dispatched to extinguish the fire. The FINEX plant is approximately 50 meters tall, and due to the intensity of the flames, the fire authorities are having difficulty approaching the site.
The FINEX plant is a facility that produces molten iron by directly using iron ore and bituminous coal without the preliminary processing step, similar to a blast furnace.
A fire official stated, "A report of a large fire was received at around 4:20 a.m., and the situation has not been confirmed since then."
