Gapyeong-gun Selected as Best Institution in 'Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Administration Evaluation'

Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 5th that it has been honored as the Best Institution in the '2024 Gyeonggi-do City and County Agricultural Administration Evaluation.' With this, Gapyeong-gun has been selected as an excellent agricultural administration institution for eight consecutive years, establishing itself as a model city and county in agricultural administration.

In this agricultural administration evaluation hosted by Gyeonggi Province, Gapyeong-gun was selected as the best institution among urban-rural cities and counties, receiving an institutional commendation along with a prize of 15 million KRW. With this award, Gapyeong-gun has demonstrated excellence in agricultural administration by achieving four best institution awards and four excellent institution awards over the past eight years since 2017.

This evaluation was conducted on 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, assessing a total of 33 indicators including major policies in agriculture and livestock, contributions to provincial administration, and special policies through document review and evaluation of contributions to provincial administration. Gapyeong-gun received high marks for outstanding performance in each indicator, earning high recognition for the development of agriculture and livestock industries.

Governor Seo Tae-won stated, “Being selected as an excellent institution for eight consecutive years is a result achieved together by all farmers in Gapyeong-gun, and through this, our contribution to the development of local agriculture has been recognized once again. We will continue to make every effort to discover outstanding farmers, produce high-quality agricultural products, and increase income in agriculture and livestock industries.”

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on the 18th during the ‘Gyeonggi-do Farmers’ Day’ event.
