The forum began on the 4th with an opening ceremony and keynote dialogue at Gimpo Aegibong Peace Ecological Park. The first keynote dialogue focused on “Greater Peace of the Korean Peninsula DMZ and Its Implications for International Conflict Zones,” featuring diverse discussions.

This year’s forum starts on the 4th at Gimpo Aegibong Peace Ecological Park and continues on the 5th and 6th at Ilsan KINTEX.

Detailed information about the forum can be found on the DMZ OPEN Festival website (dmzopen.kr).

Jo Wonyong, President of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, stated, “The DMZ is one of the places that overseas tourists definitely want to visit when coming to Korea due to its unique tourism resources in terms of ecology and peace. Therefore, it is necessary to promote and publicize it more through various events.” He added, “We plan to do our best to continuously expand the ‘DMZ Open Festival’ in the future and provide more opportunities to take a step closer to ‘greater peace.’”
