원본보기 아이콘Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) is conducting an event this month where if you use the Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificate, 5% of the payment amount next month will be refunded. Combined with the 10% discount when purchasing the gift certificate, the effective discount rate reaches 15%.
This payback event was prepared to promote the sale and use of the Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificate, issued on September 9, to help increase sales for small business owners.
The Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificate can be freely used at Yongsan Sarang Gift Certificate affiliated stores located in six administrative neighborhoods: Yongsan 2-ga-dong (Haebangchon), Itaewon 1-dong (Itaewon Tourist Special Zone, etc.), Itaewon 2-dong (Gyeongridan-gil), Hannam-dong (Cafe Street, etc.), Seobinggo-dong, and Bogwang-dong.
Usage locations for the Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificate include 2,548 places such as academies, restaurants, hospitals, pharmacies, and convenience stores, which can be checked on the district office website. It cannot be used at Yongsan Sarang Gift Certificate affiliated stores with annual sales exceeding 3 billion KRW.
For transactions using the Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificate in September and October, 5% of the payment amount will be returned as the Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificate within this month. The Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificate can be purchased through the Seoul PAY+ app.
Previously, the district issued Itaewon Commercial District Recovery Gift Certificates worth 15 billion KRW. Currently, less than 70% of the quantity remains. They can be purchased at a 10% discounted price in units of 10,000 KRW. Each person can purchase up to 700,000 KRW per month. The holding limit is 1.5 million KRW. The gift certificates are valid until September 8 of next year (one year from the issue date).
District Mayor Park Hee-young said, “The Itaewon area, including the Itaewon Tourist Special Zone, Haebangchon, and Hannam-dong, is filled with unique shops,” and added, “We hope this payback event will help revitalize the Itaewon commercial district once again.”
