KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 3rd that it invited children suffering from heart disease in Indonesia to Korea and provided surgery and medical support at Samsung Medical Center.

This support was carried out through the 'Heart and Craniofacial Anomaly Patient Treatment Support' business agreement signed last year with Samsung Medical Center. KB Kookmin Bank collaborated with Samsung Medical Center to invite 10 children suffering from heart disease in Indonesia to Korea and provided free surgery. Additionally, surgeries and treatments are also being provided for children suffering from craniofacial anomaly diseases in Korea.

At the event held at Samsung Medical Center, Park Seung-woo, Director of Samsung Medical Center, Han Seung-hwan, CEO of Samsung Life Public Welfare Foundation, Lee Jae-geun, President of KB Kookmin Bank, and other officials from both organizations attended. They gave dolls and other gifts to the Indonesian children who overcame difficult heart surgeries and delivered messages of hope.

A KB Kookmin Bank official stated, "We held this event with the hope that children with heart disease will gain new life and pursue their dreams," adding, "We will continue to provide generous support so that children, the future leaders, can grow up healthy."

Meanwhile, KB Kookmin Bank has been running projects that bring new hope to children for over 10 years. They have invited children with heart disease from Cambodia to Korea for surgery support, gifting new life to over 100 children since 2012. In 2014, they established the 'KB Kookmin Bank Hebron Heart Center' in Cambodia and have been supporting local children with heart disease through surgeries and scholarships to help them grow into global future talents.
