Hyundai Motor Company unveiled teaser images of the large electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) Ioniq 9 on the 30th. It is Hyundai's third model built on the dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP and its first large SUV. The new car will be officially revealed next month.
The teaser released on this day shows the vehicle's silhouette, front lamps, character lines, and wheel sections. The design of the new car is inspired by a boat, symbolizing a sleek exterior that minimizes water resistance and a spacious, cozy interior.
It is named 'Aerostatic' to signify optimized airflow and ample space. The company explained that it is a compound word of 'aerodynamic,' meaning air dynamics, and 'aesthetic,' meaning beauty, embodying the aesthetics of aerodynamics.
