Shortly after, a massive steel bridge deck passes just above the passengers' heads. The video was filmed last week on a dinner cruise navigating the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. At that time, Bangkok experienced an enormous amount of heavy rain for several days. As a result, the river water level rose sharply, creating a precarious situation where passengers had to fully crouch when passing under the bridge, or else risk their heads colliding directly with the bridge deck. Most netizens who saw the video reacted with comments such as "That's so scary," "If it's that dangerous, they should have stopped operating the cruise," and "Thailand recently suffered great damage from floods, so why take a cruise here?"

Thailand, where the rainy season lasts from May to October, recently experienced severe damage due to heavy rain caused by a typhoon. Especially in early October, flood warnings were issued for northern Thailand and even the capital, Bangkok. In Chiang Mai, the second-largest city in Thailand located in the north, the Ping River's water level rose to a record high of 5.3 meters, flooding tourist attractions in the city center up to 1 meter deep. Chiang Mai authorities announced that three people died due to electric shocks and landslides. Train services connecting Bangkok and Chiang Mai were also suspended, and major highways leading out of the city were flooded.

Thailand's disaster authorities stated that flooding in the north has caused water levels to rise in the lower Chao Phraya River area, including Bangkok, raising the risk of floods. They particularly warned that if heavy rain falls during high tide from the 18th to the 22nd, drainage will be inadequate, and the entire metropolitan area could face flooding. Since mid-August, floods have affected 42 provinces in Thailand, with a total of 49 deaths reported so far.
