Yuanta Securities advised on the 22nd that attention should be paid to the fact that domestic security company Raonsecure is intensifying its deepfake and mobile ID card business.

Kwon Myung-jun, an analyst at Yuanta Securities, stated, "Raonsecure is developing facial recognition technology that can detect whether something is a deepfake, as well as technology to detect content generated by artificial intelligence (AI)." He added, "Starting in the fourth quarter, they plan to add these functions to their mobile vaccine program and expand their client base to companies and government agencies."

Analyst Kwon predicted, "Media and entertainment companies, which have significant concerns about deepfake crime damage, and the National Police Agency, which needs to investigate related crimes, will be the initial target markets," and "the scope of application is expected to expand in the future."

He said, "Raonsecure is currently conducting a mobile government employee ID card project (2021) and a driver’s license project (2022), and is also working on a mobile resident registration card business," adding, "Based on references from government projects, it is highly likely that they will expand overseas starting with Indonesia within this year."

He continued, "In addition, Raonsecure is engaged in white-hacker related businesses and is the only company in Korea capable of conducting premium penetration testing," emphasizing, "The fourth quarter of this year will be a time to confirm the results of several years of research and development (R&D) investment."
