Kim Min-jae (28, Bayern Munich), a defender for the South Korean national soccer team, has divorced after more than four years of marriage.
Kim Min-jae's agency, Orange Ball, stated in a press release on the 21st, "After careful discussions, Kim Min-jae has decided to end his marriage and has completed the divorce process through mutual agreement." They added, "The two decided to divorce due to personality differences and have agreed to support each other on their respective paths." They also conveyed that "(Kim Min-jae) has expressed that he will prioritize and do his best as a parent for his child."
The agency further expressed, "We apologize for causing concern with this unfortunate news to everyone who loves and supports Kim Min-jae. He plans to continue showing better performances on the field as he has done so far."
The match between South Korea and Iraq, the 4th game of Group B in the 3rd round of the CONCACAF World Cup Asian qualifiers, held on the 15th at Yongin Mir Stadium in Gyeonggi-do. South Korea's Kim Min-jae is applauding as the match ends.

Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae, currently playing for Bayern Munich in Germany, got married in May 2020 while he was with Beijing Guoan in China and has one daughter. He transferred teams every year: from Beijing Guoan to Turkey's Fenerbah?e in 2021, to Italy's Serie A Napoli in 2022, and last year to Bayern Munich.
Additionally, Kim Min-jae wore the captain's armband in the 3rd and 4th matches of Group B in the Asian final qualifiers for the 2026 CONCACAF World Cup, substituting for Son Heung-min (Tottenham), who was sidelined due to injury.
