Han Ki-jung, Chairman of the Fair Trade Commission, stated regarding the preparation of a win-win plan between delivery platforms and tenant businesses, "We will try to come up with an agreement by the end of October, and if that is not possible, we will consider additional measures such as legislation."

원본보기 아이콘On the same day, Chairman Han responded to a question from Yoo Dong-su, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, during the National Assembly's National Audit of the Fair Trade Commission by the Political Affairs Committee. Rep. Yoo said, "Baemin (Baedal Minjok) grew on the premise of the sacrifice of tenant businesses," and added, "Now, tenant businesses are being pushed to the brink." He also pointed out that Baemin, which operates the Baemin Club with free delivery fees, is demanding most-favored-nation treatment from tenant businesses.
In response, Chairman Han said, "Regarding delivery apps, the Fair Trade Commission will discuss issues including the demand for most-favored-nation treatment and commission fees at the 8th win-win council meeting," and added, "We will make efforts to come up with a win-win plan."
