About 60 Coway employees and Geumcheon-gu resident family volunteers participated in the activity held on the 19th. The participants walked 1.8 km along the Anyangcheon area, including the Anyangcheon Multipurpose Plaza and Geumcheon Hangyo Bridge, collecting 55 kg of trash such as discarded cigarette butts, plastic bottles, beverage cans, and bags.

Coway added fun to the volunteer activity by preparing goods and a food truck featuring the 'Kungya Restaurants' character. Plogging goods were given to all volunteers, and snacks and warm drinks were provided at the food truck in exchange for the trash collected during the river plogging.

Coway is conducting a River Plogging Challenge through its internal online community to encourage employees to participate in environmental protection. Participants can collect trash anywhere and verify their participation with photos.

A Coway representative said, “We have been conducting the ‘Coway River Plogging Campaign’ for three years with customers, employees, and the local community to raise awareness of the importance of clean water and efforts to protect the environment,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various eco-friendly ESG projects to protect our planet.”
