[Photo] Jinkwansa Gukhaeng Surukjae Ceremony Held

On the 20th, the "2024 Jingwansa National Water and Land Ritual" was held at the main hall of Jingwansa Temple in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, commemorating the 626th anniversary of the renovation of the Surukjae. Bhikkhunis are performing the Cheonsubara dance to honor the spirits of uniformed public officials such as soldiers, police officers, and firefighters who sacrificed themselves while dedicating their lives to the nation and its people, and to pray for the peace and health of the citizens. Surukjae is a Buddhist ritual praying for the nation's well-being and the people's peace, designated as a national intangible cultural heritage. Photo = Jingwansa Temple
