The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both sides, including Shin Hyun-sang, head of Hanyang University’s Global Social Innovation Division, and Kim Sung-tae, head of World Vision’s ESG Social Contribution Division. They discussed various cooperation plans such as data collection, analysis, research for social innovation, and co-hosting the Collective Impact Forum.
‘Collective Impact’ presents core principles for achieving sustainable social change through collaboration across diverse sectors. Recently, related discussions have been actively taking place centered around the Collective Impact Center under Hanyang University’s Global Social Innovation Division.
The two organizations plan to jointly hold a ‘Collective Impact’ forum titled ‘How We Create Social Impact’ at 2 p.m. on the 13th of next month in the main conference room of Hanyang University’s HIT Building. The forum aims to introduce social problem-solving projects involving collaboration among various stakeholders and to discover and connect new partners who will participate in solving social issues using the Collective Impact approach. Participants from various sectors including corporations, public institutions, local governments, and non-profit organizations will share theories and cases related to Collective Impact and engage in in-depth discussions on cooperation methods for creating social value.
Kim, the head of the division, stated, “This forum is one of the journeys where various stakeholders join forces to solve social problems,” adding, “Through the ‘Collective Impact’ approach, which combines each party’s expertise and resources to create greater social value, World Vision plans to continuously collaborate with diverse stakeholders and carry out various activities.”
Shin, head of the Global Social Innovation Division, said, “Hanyang University plans to contribute to the development of cross-sector partnerships including corporations, non-profits, and public institutions centered around the Collective Impact Center,” and added, “We will work together with various stakeholders including World Vision to derive successful cases of Korean-style Collective Impact.”
