At the Supreme Council meeting that morning, Han emphasized, "A personnel reshuffle in the presidential office related to Kim Geon-hee is absolutely necessary and urgent," urging Kim's suspension from external activities and cooperation with the procedures to clarify the allegations.
When asked if the call for cooperation in the procedures to clarify allegations related to Kim was in reference to a special prosecution law for Kim, Han replied, "I am not referring to any specific procedure; I am simply stating the obvious." He continued, "There are also excessive issues raised by the opposition party, and I believe there are parts that need explanation," adding, "However, it is necessary to actively explain those issues in detail to the public."
When asked if he would request a personnel reshuffle in the presidential office and suspension of external activities related to Kim during a private meeting with President Yoon Seok-yeol, possibly as early as next week, Han said, "It is not appropriate to decide in advance what to say when we meet," but added, "However, I consider it an important issue."
Regarding raising the intensity of remarks related to Kim ahead of the private meeting with President Yoon, Han said, "An important duty of the party leader is to accurately convey public sentiment and strive for politics that reflect it," adding, "I am fulfilling my duty."
