On the 16th, Geumseong-myeon in Damyang-gun hosted a 'Love Jajangmyeon' sharing volunteer event for over 350 elderly residents at the Geumseong Nonghyup nursery, the office announced on the 17th.
The volunteer activity was organized by the Damyang Hyo Sarang Volunteer Association, which regularly conducts Jajangmyeon volunteer services. Geumnong Banjeom and Chuwol Band participated, providing meals and musical performances to bring joy to the elderly.
For the event, the Geumseong-myeon Community Security Council, Residents' Autonomy Committee, and Welfare Task Force supported with rice cakes, bottled water, disposable items, and meal-serving volunteer work. The Korea Cultural Heritage Research Institute sponsored beverages, Hojeong Food provided traditional Korean sweets, and Geumseong Nonghyup offered the venue.
Kim Taejung, head of Geumseong-myeon, expressed gratitude to the Hyo Sarang Volunteer Association and various companies and organizations for organizing the event. He said, "Although it was just one bowl of Jajangmyeon, seeing the happy faces of the elderly made me happy. We will continue to make efforts in various ways to contribute to the completion of village welfare for the happy old age of our seniors."
