Hanwha Construction Division announced on the 17th that it will introduce a system that allows access to the main entrance through facial recognition without a card key and will sequentially apply it to future housing complexes.

Existing lobby phones required carrying a card key, which was inconvenient and posed a risk of loss, and there were hygiene concerns when used by many people. However, with the introduction of the Smart Facial Recognition Lobby Phone, these inconveniences are expected to be resolved.

The Smart Facial Recognition Lobby Phone applies universal design considering various users such as children and wheelchair users. It can quickly recognize faces even at distances and radii of up to 2 meters.

It strengthens access control for outsiders by applying 'anti-spoofing technology' to prevent false authentication through photos or videos. The one-pass system automatically calls the elevator upon lobby access, further enhancing convenience for residents.

Kim Min-seok, Head of the Architecture Business Division at Hanwha Construction, said, "We expect to increase customer residential satisfaction through the Smart Facial Recognition Lobby Phone," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide differentiated services and products unique to Hanwha Forena."

Meanwhile, Hanwha Construction Division has introduced various products such as the country's first ceiling-type electric vehicle charging system 'Forena EV Air Station' and a fine dust reduction system 'Air Curtain.' It plans to supply 3,000 households in the second half of this year in areas including Goyang Wondang 1 District and Busan Dangni.
