Everland Launches 'Secret Ginkgo Forest' Walking Program

Approximately 30,000 Trees: The Largest Ginkgo Grove in Korea
Trial Opening to the Public from the 25th

Samsung C&T Resort Division Everland announced on the 17th that it will launch a new program called 'Secret Ginkgo Forest Walk' for the autumn season.

The Ginkgo Forest, covering approximately 150,000㎡ (45,000 pyeong) near Sinwon-ri, close to Everland, is the largest ginkgo tree cluster in Korea. Since the 1970s, Everland has planted about 30,000 ginkgo trees for reforestation and has preserved the area in its natural state with minimal public access.

Recently, after improving eco-friendly infrastructure such as trekking courses and forest meditation spots, visits from companies and groups for private events have increased. Due to positive feedback from visitors, it was decided to pilot open the Ginkgo Forest to the general public this fall.

The 'Secret Ginkgo Forest Walk' program will be held three times a day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from October 25 to November 10, a total of 9 days, when the golden ginkgo foliage is expected to be most beautiful. Each session can accommodate up to 30 participants, and applications can be made on a first-come, first-served basis starting October 18 through the Everland app's smart reservation system. The participation fee is 35,000 KRW per person.

This program includes not only a forest experience in the ginkgo tree cluster but also an art experience at the nearby Hoam Art Museum. Completing all experiences takes about 4 hours.

An Everland official stated, "We plan to review differentiated customer experience programs utilizing various plant assets that Everland possesses, including internal gardens such as Four Seasons Garden and Rose Garden, as well as surrounding forests like Forest Camp and the Ginkgo Forest."
