According to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul, Jessi returned home around 4:30 a.m. on the 17th after more than six hours of overnight questioning. A police official stated, "We cannot disclose the details of the testimony due to the ongoing investigation."

Jessi, who appeared at the police station at 10:06 p.m. the previous day, responded to reporters' questions about whether she admitted the charges by saying, "I hope the person who hit them is found quickly and receives punishment," adding, "I will tell everything during the investigation." She also stated, "I saw the perpetrator for the first time that day," and expressed, "I am very sorry to the victim."

Earlier, on the 29th of last month, an incident occurred in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where a minor fan approached Jessi to request a photo and was assaulted by a man identified as Mr. A, who was near Jessi.

At the time, Jessi tried to stop the assault and then left the scene. Later, police who arrived at the scene questioned Jessi's group nearby about Mr. A's whereabouts, but they reportedly said they did not know. The police are currently identifying Mr. A's identity.

In addition to Mr. A, a total of four people, including the producer who was with Jessi at the time and other members of the group, have been reported and booked on charges including assault by the victim.

After the controversy arose, Jessi posted on her social media on the 12th, saying, "I was too flustered by the sudden situation at the time to carefully consider the fan," and added, "I am making efforts to ensure the perpetrator receives appropriate punishment."
