The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) will hold the "2024 Eoullim Sports Club Festival" on the 17th at Pyeongtaek Sosabeol Sports Town.

The Eoullim Sports Club Festival is a provincial-level sports festival for students with disabilities held every autumn. It is organized to allow special education students to enjoy various sports while enhancing their sense of achievement and cooperation.

This year, the event is co-hosted by the Provincial Office of Education and the Pyeongtaek Disabled Sports Association under the Gyeonggi Disabled Sports Council. About 400 students with disabilities from 21 cities and counties in southern Gyeonggi, along with teachers and parents, are expected to participate together.

The Sports Club Festival consists of seven competitive events (▲ Hangung ▲ Shullen ▲ e-Sports Tennis ▲ Laser Shooting ▲ Cup Stacking (Sports Stacking) ▲ Floor Curling ▲ 100-meter Running) and six experiential events (▲ Hookball ▲ Whaling Hockey ▲ e-Sports (Bowling and Olympic) ▲ Disc Golf ▲ Slingpuck ▲ Virtual Reality (VR) Taekwondo).

This event aims not to focus on records or competition but to encourage students with disabilities to interact and enjoy physical activities together. Accordingly, the Provincial Office of Education plans to conduct the event so that students can develop various physical abilities, interact with students from other regions, and participate joyfully.

Kim Sun-hee, Director of Special Education at the Provincial Office of Education, said, "The Eoullim Sports Club Festival is a festival designed so that all students with disabilities can feel a sense of achievement and happiness through physical activities," adding, "We will strive to prepare various support measures so that all students with disabilities in the province can improve their quality of life and grow up healthily."
