LS Mtron announced on the 17th that it will unveil its electric tractor concept model 'EON3' for the first time at the 'Korea International Agricultural Machinery Show (KIEMSTA 2024)' held at Daegu EXCO from the 30th of this month to the 2nd of next month.
The 'EON3' is a 25 kW (30 horsepower class) compact model, an electric tractor that is easy to operate even in narrow spaces. It produces no exhaust emissions and has low vibration and noise, making it suitable for livestock barns and greenhouse work, providing users with a better driving experience. It offers similar performance to diesel models while reducing maintenance costs by about 60%.
This tractor is equipped with a fast-charging function that can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 40 minutes. When fully charged, it can perform loader work for up to 6 hours. Using the V2L function, electric tools can also be powered by the tractor's battery.
LS Mtron has been developing commercialization technology for small electric tractors since 2022. In August, it successfully completed the first domestic performance verification test for electric tractors. At this exhibition, the company will showcase this tractor and offer visitors the opportunity to test drive it.
Shin Jae-ho, President of LS Mtron, stated, "We plan to further advance our electrification platform to dominate the small electric tractor market," adding, "We will specify the commercialization timeline in line with government subsidy policies."
