Cribiz, a MICE (corporate events), gift, and education service company led by CEO Kim Su-cheol, announced on the 15th that it has established the 'ESG Sustainability Research Institute (ESG Lab)' in collaboration with the environmental civic group Climate PD (CEO Eun Ja-kyung) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) education specialist BG Communication (CEO Oh Kyung-hee) under the slogan 'Supporting Customers' Sustainable Management.'

The inaugural director of ESG Lab is Kim Su-cheol, CEO of Cribiz, with Kim Seong-ho, Vice President of Cribiz, and Oh Kyung-hee, CEO of BG Communication, serving as deputy directors. The newly launched ESG Lab started with three business sectors essential to ESG management: education, MICE, and gift (goods). Within the year, it plans to expand its research areas to include ESG introduction strategy consulting, HRD (Human Resource Development), and media sectors, aiming to grow into a 'Total ESG Business Platform.'

Each sector involves executive-level consultants who have been responsible for consulting in MICE, gifts, certification, and HR fields. The expert group includes about ten members such as Eun Ja-kyung, CEO of the environmental civic group Climate PD; Kim Hye-kyung, professor at Chung-Ang University Graduate School of International Studies; Jung Eun-kyo, senior specialist at Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation; and Dr. Park Hye-kyung (Kyungpook National University Environmental Education Research Institute).

Prior to the opening ceremony, ESG Lab separately established the ESG Education Business Division last month to develop and distribute ESG educational content. It has started providing customized corporate consulting and instructor dispatch services specialized in environmental awareness improvement and experiential education, ESG leadership/communication, ESG customer satisfaction (CS) management, ESG humanities, and upcycling startup support education. ESG Lab also announced plans to launch the (tentatively named) ESG Business Alliance within the year to lead ESG issues through cooperation with related companies.

Kim Su-cheol, director of ESG Lab, stated, "With the trend toward mandatory transparent disclosure of corporate information related to sustainable management after 2025, ESG management is emerging as an urgent practical task for companies." He added, "ESG Lab aims to serve as a platform that researches and disseminates business models for ESG business needed by companies, providing essential practical solutions to corporations and organizations while also contributing to raising the 'climate sensitivity' of corporate members."
