The People Power Party of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly is launching security policy initiatives to appropriately respond to the increasing threats from inter-Korean tensions.
On the 15th, the People Power Party of the Provincial Assembly announced that under the slogan "People Power That Works, Becoming the Strength of Security," it will promote practical security policies to protect the safety and property of residents.
To this end, the People Power Party plans to establish a comprehensive response system and develop various policies by collaborating with security experts, civic groups, and residents, among other stakeholders.
Key projects include ▲ Security organization meetings (Listening to residents' voices on security) ▲ Security exhibitions and special exhibitions (Seeing and feeling security) ▲ Security policy discussion festivals (Discussing security with residents) ▲ Discovery and selection of security-related projects.
The People Power Party intends to formalize effective projects within this year and adopt them as policy initiatives for next year.
Kim Jeong-ho, the representative member of the People Power Party, emphasized, "The core of this policy is to establish a sustainable security system to protect the lives and property of residents. Although the Gyeonggi Province's security budget is low and response personnel are severely lacking, we will continuously pursue effective policies for residents' safety by preparing active support measures."
