The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold the ‘Edutech Utilization Student-Customized Education Forum’ on the 16th and 23rd of this month at the Uijeongbu Northern Office and Gyeonggi University in Suwon, respectively.
This forum is organized under the theme ‘Stories of Student-Customized Education Told by On-site Teachers’ to help understand student-customized education and explore educational strategies. About 350 elementary, middle, and high school teachers from the province will attend.
The first part is a session where on-site teachers share cases of designing and operating edutech-utilized teaching and learning and practicing student-customized education, with presentations in the order of ▲Understanding the concept of student-customized education ▲Deriving and applying student-customized education strategies ▲Cases of student-customized education using edutech (Hi-Learning) ▲Suggestions for student-customized education.
The second part is designed as a time to reflect and consider from the teaching and learning perspective how the tool ‘Edutech’ for the transition of teaching and learning in the digital era contributes at which points in the entire process of teaching and learning design, instruction, and assessment to achieve learning standards.
Following this, there will be communication with teachers by answering on-site questions about the prior inquiries and presenters’ announcements.
Kim Tae-seok, Director of Future Education at the Provincial Office of Education, said, "This is a place to discuss practical measures for edutech-utilized customized education to meet the individual needs of learners and improve the quality of education," adding, "We will prepare directions for customized education and effective application methods of digital technology in educational sites in the era of digital transformation."
