After inspecting the production plant in Changwon on the 14th, Doosan Bobcat's management held a town hall meeting with about 200 office and production employees, announcing the name change to 'Doosan Motrol' and signaling a new beginning.
Vice Chairman Scott Park emphasized, "By creating a 'win-win' situation and adding additional synergy, we aim to double Doosan Motrol's sales compared to last year within five years."
The main purpose of Doosan Bobcat's acquisition of Doosan Motrol is to ensure stable supply of core parts and strengthen product competitiveness through vertical integration. Doosan Motrol is expected to grow by diversifying products and regions, as it can expand its target market from large construction equipment to small and medium-sized construction equipment, as well as industrial equipment for agriculture and logistics.
Doosan Motrol will continue independent management as a separate corporation, while both companies will jointly seek synergies for expanding scale, including securing growth momentum as a global company as a subsidiary of Doosan Bobcat.
Kwon Young-min, CEO of Doosan Motrol, stated, "We will strive to raise quality standards further and accelerate new product development."
