3I Solution, a spin-off from Hyundai Motor Group's in-house venture, announced on the 14th that it has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Deep-tech TIPS' program in recognition of its neutron-based component analysis technology.

Deep-tech TIPS is a program led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups that supports innovative startups with advanced technologies. It selects startups in ten breakthrough technology fields and provides government funding of up to 1.5 billion KRW for research and development (R&D).

3I Solution was selected for Deep-tech TIPS due to its domestication and technological excellence in advanced neutron component analyzers. In particular, 3I Solution was recognized for its high growth potential in providing equipment and solutions capable of real-time component analysis of raw materials such as iron ore, scrap, and black powder from waste batteries in the steel and secondary battery industries.

Shin Jun-young, CEO of 3I Solution, said, "We are very pleased to be selected for Deep-tech TIPS, which will allow us to accelerate the development and commercialization of neutron component analysis technology." He added, "We aim to expand globally and lead innovation in smart factory solutions for manufacturing based on data."

3I Solution, originating from Hyundai Motor Group's in-house venture, spun off independently in October last year and has achieved rapid results within 10 months of establishment, including signing letters of intent and MOUs for purchasing neutron component analyzers and being selected for Deep-tech TIPS.

3I Solution plans to manufacture neutron component analyzers specialized for industries such as steel and secondary batteries, enabling real-time full inspections during manufacturing processes, while providing raw material component data to improve product quality and reduce costs. This technology is expected to bring significant changes across manufacturing by providing big data essential for implementing smart factories.
