Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon City, is holding the 2024 Pocheon City Education Development Committee meeting in the city administration conference room on the 11th.
On the 14th, Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced that it held the 2024 Pocheon City Education Development Committee meeting on the 11th at the city administration conference room.
The Pocheon City Education Development Committee is an organization established to promote balanced educational development projects. It consists of 20 members including Mayor Baek Young-hyun, Pocheon Office of Education, Pocheon City Council members, education experts, and related personnel.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon City announced the official launch of the committee by awarding certificates of appointment to 16 members, including Pocheon City Council member Kim Hyun-gyu, in accordance with the formation of the first Education Development Committee.
On this day, the Education Development Committee reviewed the achievements of the 2024 education policy, received reports on the 2025 education policy plan based on the selection of the pilot area for the education development special zone, and the education expense subsidy project, and expressed various opinions.
In particular, broad opinions on the education development plan for Pocheon City were shared, emphasizing the promotion of customized education policies reflecting the regional characteristics of Pocheon City.
The city plans to establish the 2025 education policy by reflecting the opinions derived from this meeting and actively promote various support projects for sustainable educational development.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon City said, “The launch of the Pocheon City Education Development Committee is an important first step toward improving the quality of education in Pocheon City. Since we have been selected as a pilot area for the education development special zone, we will do our best to create an educational environment that can nurture future talents in cooperation with the local community.” He added, “We will continue to communicate with education stakeholders and provide unwavering support to offer better educational opportunities to students.”
