Epson Receives 'Highest Rating' in EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment

'Platinum' Representing the Top 1% Companies
Highly Rated in Environmental and Labor & Human Rights Fields

Seiko Epson announced on the 14th that it has received the highest rating, "Platinum," which corresponds to the top 1% of companies in the sustainability assessment conducted by the global evaluation organization EcoVadis.


EcoVadis is an accredited business sustainability assessment organization that evaluates more than 13,000 companies worldwide across over 220 industry categories and 180 countries and regions. The assessment focuses on four themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, and classifies results into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze ratings.

The Platinum rating obtained by Epson is awarded to the top 1% of companies in the same industry, and Epson received particularly high scores in the areas of environment and labor and human rights in this evaluation.


In December last year, Epson achieved RE100 across its global operations and is focusing its business activities on achieving a sustainable society, including efforts to become carbon negative and cease underground resource use by 2050. In particular, it discloses detailed information on environmental initiatives, social value creation, corporate governance, and other CSR activities on its website and integrated reports, emphasizing solving social issues.
