Police Chief Jo Ji-ho stated on the 11th regarding First Lady Kim Geon-hee's visit to Mapo Bridge, "We received a report the day before in advance, and there was no traffic control."
On the same day, during the National Assembly Public Administration and Security Committee's audit, Jo responded to a question from Lee Hae-sik, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, who asked, "From 6:30 PM to 7 PM is a time of severe traffic congestion. Was there any traffic control?"
When asked whether there was a countermeasure meeting related to the First Lady's visit to Mapo Bridge, Chief Jo said, "There was no countermeasure meeting."
Rep. Lee pointed out, "You must not lie under oath. At that time, there was an inquiry made to 112 asking for the reason for vehicle control," adding, "I requested the data, but they said they could not respond due to security reasons. Isn't it true that traffic control was implemented?"
