Changwon Special City announced that on this day, Mayor Nam-pyo Hong, Uichang-gu Chief Je-moon An, and heads of various departments gathered for the citizens, and about 300 citizens filled the venue, continuing the enthusiastic communication with the public.


During the conversation, Mayor Hong explained that as part of Uichang-gu's future innovation strategy projects, the city is promoting ▲ the establishment of a new national industrial complex for defense and nuclear fusion in Changwon ▲ the construction of a neutron complex beam irradiation facility, the largest single R&D project in Gyeongnam's history ▲ and support for the establishment of Gamgye 2 and Uichang middle schools.


He went on to elaborate on Uichang-gu's lifestyle-oriented projects, including ▲ (Daily Vitality) expansion of park golf courses and barefoot walking trails for recreational sports spaces ▲ (Living Environment) construction of the Buk-myeon Hwacheon Civil Service Center and expansion of parking lots ▲ (Disaster Safety) installation of stormwater retention facilities in the Myeongseo district and LED security lights in residential areas ▲ (Road Conditions) repaving of the road in front of Jedong Village in Daesan-myeon, totaling 69 projects across four areas, urging citizens to show interest and participate.


The main event, the conversation with citizens, was personally presided over by Mayor Nam-pyo Hong. Citizens voiced their everyday inconveniences and long-standing local issues, to which Mayor Hong responded directly, promising to make every effort to resolve them, making it a venue for open communication.


Citizens who participated on-site responded positively, saying, "Seeing the Mayor personally explain city policies, listen to citizens' voices, and make sure nothing is overlooked gives us hope for Changwon's future."


Wrapping up the conversation, Mayor Hong stated, "For the suggestions made today, we will promptly address issues that can be resolved immediately, and thoroughly review matters that require more time to ensure they are properly handled."


He added, "We will focus all our capabilities on promoting lifestyle-oriented projects in the latter half of the term so that citizens can feel the changes. I ask for your continued interest and support for Changwon's new leap forward."
