KT&G closed the day on the KOSPI market at 116,900 won, up 13,400 won (12.95%) from the previous trading day.
After four consecutive days of decline, KT&G surged as institutional buying flooded in on this day.
KT&G, whose main business is the manufacturing and sale of cigarettes, is the 28th largest company on the KOSPI with a market capitalization of 15.2347 trillion won. It has a foreign ownership rate of 44.66%.
