Hyundai Motor Company Holds Exhibition to Celebrate Reaching 100 Million Units in Cumulative Production

Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 10th that it will hold the exhibition "Again, the First Step: One step further" to commemorate the achievement of cumulative production of 100 million units.

Held for one month at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, this exhibition was prepared to examine the significance and driving force behind Hyundai’s cumulative production of 100 million units and to deliver a message of gratitude to customers.

The first floor of the exhibition hall is themed "The first step of 100 million units: The first step," designed to allow visitors to experience Hyundai’s initial steps as an automobile manufacturer and the process of writing its first history. The exhibition space features the actual models of Hyundai’s first assembled production car, the "Cortina Mark 2," and the "Pony Ecuador Taxi," the first proprietary model and first export car, which was re-imported to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Pony’s export. In addition, visitors can explore Hyundai’s beginnings through various materials, from early Hyundai assembly plant scenes to the story of the first export to Ecuador.

The third-floor exhibition hall, themed "The driving force of 100 million units: One step further," explores the driving forces that enabled Hyundai to achieve its current success through familiar first-generation models of Hyundai’s representative lineups.

The final exhibition spaces on the fourth and fifth floors highlight the development process of Hyundai’s leading sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and electrification lineups, as well as scenes from production sites, emphasizing new steps toward the future mobility era.

Jiseongwon, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor Brand Marketing Headquarters, said, "This exhibition was prepared to reflect on the hidden efforts and time condensed into each car by highlighting the meaning of automobile production, and to share Hyundai’s journey beyond automobile manufacturing toward becoming a smart mobility solution provider with our customers."
