Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is introducing a new mission tour program called "The Legend of Mungokseong," where visitors can enjoy learning about history and culture around Nakseongdae Park.
"The Legend of Mungokseong" is a tourism program themed around General Gang Gam-chan, a representative historical figure of Gwanak-gu.
The district designed the program so that visitors to Nakseongdae Park can naturally learn and reflect on the life and achievements of General Gang Gam-chan by exploring various sites related to him near Nakseongdae Park while solving problems.
Participants use their smartphones and mission sheets to follow a fictional story based on historical facts, gather clues, and complete given missions.
The program starts at the birthplace site of General Gang Gam-chan and covers about a one-hour course around Nakseongdae Park, including Anguksa Temple.
Residents who wish to participate can freely join on-site with just a smartphone, without any prior registration. The district will provide a limited number of commemorative gifts to those who complete the program on a first-come, first-served basis.
The district expects this to be a great opportunity for residents visiting Nakseongdae Park to take a walk and deepen their understanding of Gwanak-gu’s representative historical figure.
Meanwhile, the district operates various programs by establishing the Nakseongdae Park area as the Gang Gam-chan Tour Zone.
Visitors can complete a stamp book by touring the Nakseongdae Park area and visiting sites related to General Gang Gam-chan’s life in the "Gang Gam-chan Stamp Tour." There is also the "Goryeo General Costume Experience Zone," where visitors can wear a general’s uniform and take commemorative photos at the trick art zone. Additionally, traditional games such as tuho throwing and jegichagi can be enjoyed in front of the Gang Gam-chan Exhibition Hall.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "The newly launched 'The Legend of Mungokseong' is a program designed in an engaging game format to thoroughly explore Gwanak-gu’s historical landmarks. We ask for the residents’ great interest and hope this will be an opportunity to learn about and experience Goryeo history and culture in a fun way."
