Since COVID-19, interest in hygiene management in daily life has significantly increased, leading to continuous growth in demand for wet wipes. In particular, various new demands are emerging for specialized products that respond to consumers' heightened requirements for convenience and hygiene levels.
Spearpower's lifestyle health business division, centered on wet wipes OEM manufacturing, produces a diverse product lineup including baby wet wipes, bidet wet wipes, and cleansing wet wipes classified as cosmetics; hand sanitizing wet wipes, oral wet wipes, pet wet wipes, and deodorant wipes classified as quasi-drugs; and communication/disinfection wet wipes, automotive wet wipes, glass cleaning wet wipes, dishcloth wet wipes, and multipurpose wet wipes classified as household chemical products.
To maximize expertise in the baby wet wipes sector, which has received favorable reviews in the existing market, the company completed an expansion of its wet wipes production plant located in Jincheon, Chungbuk, in 2022, securing an annual production capacity of over 70 million wet wipes.
Since the 2022 expansion, the Jincheon plant has been focusing on expanding production facilities applying smart factory technology to secure differentiated competitiveness. Notably, it has minimized contamination during the manufacturing process and ensured safety through process automation.
The 11-stage purified water supply system is a core technology to guarantee product safety by completely sterilizing purified water, which is a key ingredient in wet wipes. Additionally, ongoing research and development are being conducted to enhance the functionality of wet wipe fabrics, and efforts are being made to apply and develop materials to ensure the eco-friendliness of products and packaging.
Jaehyun Lee, CEO of Spearpower, stated, “Spearpower holds a well-deserved position as a high-quality wet wipes manufacturer in the domestic wet wipes OEM market, and we are fully committed to process improvement and research and development to expand our market.” He added, “We will also focus on sales activities to enter overseas markets and expand our customer base in the future.”
