On the 1st (local time), Daly announced on his social media that he "lost his home due to Hurricane Hermine." He said, "I have lived here all my life, but the house is completely gone and devastated. It is hard to imagine everything we have lost," but added, "At least we are safe and alive, which is a relief." The Big Bend area in Florida, where Daly lives, suffered significant damage from Hurricane Hermine, which recently swept through the southeastern United States. Many homes were flooded or destroyed, resulting in numerous displaced residents.

Daly was the first player on the PGA Tour to surpass an average driving distance of 300 yards in a season. He showcased exceptional talent by winning two major championships, including The Open. Having lived a tumultuous life, he is known as a ‘maverick’ and, due to his rough behavior and lack of manners, also called a ‘bad boy.’ Another nickname is ‘the drinker,’ as he loved alcohol so much that he even underwent treatment for alcoholism. Daly participates annually in the family golf competition, the PNC Championship, bringing his son along.
