Gyeongnam Pharmaceutical Launches Herbal Ingredient Sore Throat Medicine 'Inhorexin Capsule'

Gyeongnam Pharmaceutical, a company specializing in over-the-counter drugs, announced on the 2nd that it has launched the herbal sore throat medicine ‘Inhorexin Capsules (Eungyosan)’ in a 20-capsule pack.

This new product is packaged in a unit twice the size of the existing 10-capsule pack. The 10-capsule pack is convenient for portability, while the new 20-capsule pack can be kept as a household medicine, allowing consumers to choose the product according to their storage needs.

‘Inhorexin Capsules (Eungyosan)’ can be taken for more than 3 days during the severe initial cold symptoms for adults per pack, and for children and adolescents aged 7 to 14, it can be taken for about 6 days or more, which is the typical duration of a common cold, enhancing medication convenience.

As Gyeongnam Pharmaceutical expands the ‘Inhorexin Capsules (Eungyosan)’ lineup, it has visually distinguished the packaging sizes clearly. The 10-capsule pack is designed in red, and the 20-capsule pack in blue, with a renewed design featuring contrasting colors.

Eungyosan is a traditional herbal prescription name derived from its main ingredients, honeysuckle flower (Geum-eunhwa) and forsythia fruit (Yeongyo). These ingredients help reduce fever caused by inflammatory diseases and aid in treating early symptoms of various inflammatory conditions accompanied by fever, such as colds, acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and bronchitis.

Adults should take 2 capsules per dose, and children aged 7 to 14 should take 1 capsule per dose, three times a day before or between meals. This product contains herbal ingredients and can be taken together with Western cold medicines and pain relievers. Additionally, the capsule form minimizes the characteristic bitterness and smell of herbal medicine, allowing for easy ingestion without discomfort.
