Actress Park Ji-a, who appeared in the Netflix series "The Glory," has passed away while battling a stroke.


On the 30th, Park Ji-a's agency Billions released an official statement saying, "Park Ji-a passed away at around 2:50 a.m. today at the age of 52 after battling a stroke. This is an incredibly heartbreaking and tragic news." They added, "We will forever remember the late actress's passion for acting until the very end," and "Once again, we express our deepest condolences on her passing and respectfully pray for her eternal peace."


Park Ji-a began her acting career in 1997 with a minor role in the film "Maria and the Inn" and appeared in many works such as "The Coastline," "Gidam," "Masquerade," "The House of the Disappeared," "Gonjiam," and "Hijacking." In particular, she gained widespread recognition for her role as Jung Mi-hee, the biological mother of the main character Moon Dong-eun, in the 2022 Netflix original series "The Glory."


The funeral is being held in Room 2 at Seoul Asan Medical Center, and the funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on the 2nd of next month.
