Ahn Cheol-soo: "Who to spend a month on a deserted island with? President Yoon over Lee Jun-seok"

Among the nicknames for An Choding and Gan Cheolsu, chose 'An Choding'
For the person who should quit politics, selected Lee Jae-myung

People Power Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo chose President Yoon Seok-yeol over Reform New Party lawmaker Lee Jun-seok as the person he would want to spend a month on a deserted island with. On the 23rd, Ahn appeared on YTN Radio's 'News FM Lee Ik-seon Choi Soo-young Issue & People' and responded to the question, "If you had to live on a deserted island for a month, who would you choose to be with, Yoon Seok-yeol or Lee Jun-seok?"

Ahn said, "It's not that I dislike either of them, but I thought about who would be easier to get along with." He added, "I am not good at drinking, so I would probably tell President Yoon to drink all the alcohol he has, and I think we could live very quietly." When asked to choose between his nicknames 'Gancheolsu' and 'Anchoding,' he chose 'Anchoding.'

He said, "I have been in politics for well over 10 years, and some people have many prejudices about me. One of them is that I am weak, but think about it. How could a weak person survive in our country's political arena for more than 10 years?" He added, "So, I actually have no thoughts about that issue."

When asked who he would recommend to quit politics at this point, he chose Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, over Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Reform Party. Ahn explained, "From managing organizations, I found that organizations created by people tend to amplify the leader's flaws because there are people who show excessive loyalty underneath." He added, "Currently, Mr. Lee has many complexes and flaws, and if he becomes president, I am worried whether our country can endure."

Furthermore, when asked which unification he regrets more between the 2012 presidential election unification with Moon Jae-in, the Democratic Party candidate, and the 2011 Seoul mayoral election unification with Park Won-soon, the Democratic Party candidate, Ahn chose "the 2012 unification with Moon Jae-in." He said, "In the case of unification with Moon Jae-in, when someone helps another person, at least gratitude or reciprocation is the human duty, isn't it? But despite that, when we lost, I was told that it was because I didn't help."

In the 2012 presidential election, then Democratic United Party candidate Moon Jae-in was defeated by Saenuri Party candidate Park Geun-hye. Ahn said, "I cannot agree with someone who cannot fulfill basic human duties becoming a leader in our society," adding, "This inevitably leads to unfortunate events, and the results are as you all know."
