[Special Stock] SandsLab Integrates CTX AI Engine with Google VirusTotal... Global User Count Increasing

SandsLab is showing strong performance. The stock price appears to be influenced by the news that its flagship service, 'CTX,' has been integrated with the global threat intelligence platform 'VirusTotal.'

As of 9:21 AM on the 25th, SandsLab is trading at 12,110 KRW, up 16.22% from the previous day.

SandsLab, an AI-based cyber threat intelligence (CTI) specialist company, announced that it has completed the integration of its flagship service 'CTX' with the global threat intelligence platform 'VirusTotal.'

VirusTotal, a subsidiary of Google, is a service for detecting and analyzing malware. When users upload files or URLs, it analyzes them using various antivirus software and security engines. Since it diagnoses whether something is malware, it is widely used by security experts to analyze and research new malware.

VirusTotal is characterized by its ability to use multiple analysis engines simultaneously. While existing engines only determined whether something was malicious or benign, CTX realizes a more advanced level of analysis technology. It intuitively classifies threats in the order of A (file type), B (threat type), and C (threat family), similar to an actual virus. Therefore, users worldwide can directly compare and experience CTX’s excellent detection rate and advantages through VirusTotal.

The technology and know-how secured through the cyber security AI dataset construction project, which is being promoted together with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), played a significant role. By systematically collecting billions of threat data and labeling it clearly and consistently for AI training, the performance of the profiling engine was greatly improved. This allowed the application of CTX’s unique classification method, enabling AI to identify malware more precisely. The true positive and false positive detection rates have significantly improved.

Kim Ki-hong, CEO of SandsLab, said, "We expect the number of global users to increase further with the integration of SandsLab’s AI-based intelligence, CTX, into a world-class global service." He added, "The data through VirusTotal has not only broadened the scalability of our AI technology but also brought us one step closer to entering the global market. We will contribute to expanding our core business domestically and internationally by supporting various on-premise integration systems with solutions such as SIEM and SOAR."
