Handonghun "If a private meeting with Yoon is difficult, we must meet as soon as possible"

"No separate direct information received"
"Need to meet to discuss major issues"

Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, reiterated his request for a private meeting with President Yoon Seok-yeol a day before the dinner with the ruling party leadership. The Presidential Office expressed reluctance to Han's earlier request for a private meeting, stating that separate consultations were necessary.

On the afternoon of the 23rd, Han explained the purpose of his proposal for a private meeting with President Yoon to reporters at the National Assembly. He said, "There are important matters that are difficult to discuss publicly, and discussions on those matters are necessary," adding, "If it is difficult this time, I think we should meet again as soon as possible."

When asked by reporters if he had received any contact from the Presidential Office, he replied, "There is nothing beyond what has been reported in the media." Regarding the Presidential Office's statement that further consultations are needed, he emphasized again, "I am requesting (the private meeting) now, aren't I? If tomorrow is difficult, I believe it is absolutely necessary to meet again soon."

Han did not respond to the question of whether he was considering not attending the dinner tomorrow.
