POSCO E&C Unveils New Design 'Ecoscape' for Residential Complex Outdoor Spaces

POSCO E&C announced on the 22nd that it has developed the design 'Ecoscape,' which combines nature and light to enhance the external environment of residential complexes.

Ecoscape is characterized by its design that naturally connects buildings, landscaping, and lighting from the early stages of architectural planning, considering residents' movement paths, internal level differences within the complex, and boundary areas between buildings and landscaping.

Ecoscape focuses on five main areas. Starting with the entrance planted with symbolic trees suited to the complex's characteristics, there is the 'Welcome Gate,' where landscaping and lighting naturally connect from the welcome lounge, children's drop-off and pick-up zone, to the underground parking entrance. The 'Lightning Ground' showcases luxurious entrances and walkways, including naturally lit parking lots and pedestrian paths with starlight ceiling lighting. The 'Club Inspiration' features a wall fountain water space and subtle lighting outside the community building, evoking the atmosphere of a high-end resort.

Also included are the 'Greenery Facade,' which harmoniously reflects nature by expanding a plant caf? with greenery on sloped level differences and extending a small indoor library outdoors, and the 'Greenery Edge,' which extends the exterior finishing materials of the east entrance to the interior, creating a feeling that the home space extends outside.

POSCO E&C plans to partially apply the Ecoscape design depending on project conditions starting with complexes launched this year.

A POSCO E&C official said, "We are continuously developing products to meet consumers' needs for the external environment of multi-family housing," adding, "Based on our design expertise, we will incorporate nature and light throughout the complex so that residents can enjoy a harmonious life."
