Kiheeju, Honorary Professor at Kyungil University, Appointed as Member of National Assembly Sejong Complex Construction Committee

Kyungil University (President: Jung Hyuntae) announced on the 20th that Honorary Professor Ha Giju has been appointed as a member of the National Assembly Sejong National Assembly Building Construction Committee.

The National Assembly Sejong National Assembly Building Construction Committee is an advisory committee under the direct supervision of the Speaker of the National Assembly, responsible for comprehensively reviewing and determining the basic direction, scale, and project implementation methods for the construction of the Sejong National Assembly Building.

Hagiju Ha, Professor Emeritus, Kyungil University

Honorary Professor Ha holds a bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Hanyang University, a master's degree in Structural Engineering from Yonsei University, and a doctorate in Concrete and Seismic Structural Engineering from KAIST. He has served as President of the Architectural Institute of Korea, a member of the National Architectural Policy Committee under the President, a member of the National Land Policy Committee under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Architecture Committee. He is currently a director at the Construction Technology Policy Research Institute and the Chairman of the Korea Federation of Architectural and Urban Organizations.

Professor Ha, who served for 33 years in the Department of Architectural and Civil Engineering at Kyungil University, is now working as an honorary professor at Kyungil University after his retirement at the end of August, continuing to dedicate himself to mentoring younger scholars.

Meanwhile, the Department of Architectural and Civil Engineering at Kyungil University, established in 1963 when the university opened, has produced over 12,000 professionals in the construction field. Recently, the department has attracted attention by nurturing practical talents closely linked with industry through programs such as the ACE Scholarship system operated by department-affiliated companies.
