Domestic retail tech startup Pay&Store announced that it is preparing to launch the beta version of its offline franchise store POS system, "Payn," in September.
Payn is a third-generation POS that integrates various services needed by franchise stores, such as search, ordering, and delivery, directly with the POS, allowing all management to be done on the POS screen without switching between separate services.
As the first integrated service with Payn, it has become the industry's first to link Naver SmartPlace and Naver Order subscription/operation comprehensively, which is expected to greatly improve the operational efficiency of franchise store owners.
Previously, when changing menu information or prices on Naver Order, franchise owners had to access SmartPlace via PC or mobile and manually update each menu item.
However, when businesses using Naver Order adopt the Payn POS, they no longer need to separately modify information directly on SmartPlace. If a menu is registered or modified on the POS, it is automatically updated in real-time on SmartPlace, making menu management much more convenient.
Information updated on Payn is immediately reflected in Naver search results and Naver Maps, allowing customers to accurately check the latest information when searching or ordering through Naver.
Additionally, Payn will provide a QR kiosk free of charge for a limited time as part of its service launch event for customers visiting stores. Customers can conveniently order by scanning the QR code, and businesses can operate the ordering service at a lower cost compared to traditional hardware kiosks.
Furthermore, using Payn, franchise owners can simultaneously sign up for SmartPlace, Naver Order, Naver Reservation, and Naver Pay Center.
This one-time application allows franchise owners to use Naver's major franchise-oriented services more conveniently.
Payn also announced plans to update within the year to enable real-time integration and management of Naver Reservation within the POS.
In addition, a postpaid POS for Windows, as well as a POS linked with Naver Table Order, is scheduled to be released within the year. Franchise owners interested in adopting Payn POS can apply through POS dealers.
Lee Byung-chan, CEO of Pay&Store, stated, "Naver SmartPlace is a local platform that positively impacts franchise sales growth and customer acquisition," adding, "We expect that through Payn, franchise owners will be able to easily manage and utilize business solutions such as SmartPlace, Naver Reservation, and Naver Order."
