Mapo-gu Mayor Park Gang-su Attends 'With Residents, On a Starry Night' Event

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Gongdeok-dong Community Center on the evening of the 10th, where the event "With Residents, on a Starry Night" was held.

Hosted and organized by the Gongdeok-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, this event was conducted for about 50 families with children residing in Gongdeok-dong.

Participants attended a constellation lecture at the Gongdeok-dong Community Center and engaged in a hands-on activity making solar system lamps. Afterwards, they moved to Malli Reservoir Park to observe the moon and stars in the night sky through a telescope.

On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said to the participants, "I hope you enjoy viewing the moon and stars through the telescope with your family and create precious memories. Mapo District is establishing an astronomy science center within the Mapo Saebit Cultural Forest's resident convenience facilities so that anyone can experience the mysterious world of space, and we ask for your great interest."
