Goryeong County in North Gyeongsang Province is recruiting members for the "Goryeong Story Exploration Team," a local documentation project, as part of its 2024 capacity-building initiative.
This project has been established to improve the quality of life for local residents and to enhance the competitiveness of Goryeong County.
The "Story Exploration Team" aims to strengthen regional identity and foster local pride through a documentation project. Residents can discover, record, and share stories from the Goryeong area, gaining hands-on experience in writing and producing booklets.
This program will be held at the Daegaya Culture Nuri lecture room every Tuesday and Friday for two weeks, starting from the 20th, with a total of six sessions.
Participants will attend expert lectures and, through multiple rounds of feedback in interviews, writing, photography education, and field activities, will improve their writing skills and publish a book. The published book will also be available in local libraries.
County Governor Lee Namcheol stated, "The process of learning about the place where I live is a very valuable way to find my own identity," and added, "I hope that through this project, many stories about Goryeong County's hidden attractions, local neighborhoods, and spaces filled with memories will be discovered and shared with many people."
This program is open to any local resident interested in writing and publishing. For more information about the Goryeong Story Exploration Team, please refer to the Dasan Library website or inquire by phone.
