In particular, both sides agreed that there is great potential for cooperation in future strategic industries between the two advanced technology nations, and they decided to closely consult on specific cooperation plans going forward.
Additionally, both parties agreed to work together to achieve meaningful outcomes in commemoration of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026.
Director Shin stated, "There is also significant room for cooperation between South Korea and France on issues related to the Indo-Pacific region," and added, "Through future consultations between the foreign ministries of both countries, we expect to derive concrete cooperation measures."
Chief Bon said, "France's security concept is expanding to the Indo-Pacific region," and added, "We look forward to active cooperation with South Korea, a key ally with an open cooperation vision in the Indo-Pacific region, on related issues."
The Presidential Office reported that both sides exchanged assessments on Russia-North Korea cooperation issues and agreed on the necessity for South Korea and France to coordinate with allies to address the Russia-North Korea issue.
