Naver Pay Recruits Jo Jaebak, Former Vice President of Samjong KPMG

Naver Pay announced on the 3rd that it has recruited Jo Jaebak, former Vice President and Head of Digital Division at Samjong KPMG, as the Executive Vice President in charge of Naver Pay Inno Biz. Inno Biz is an organization responsible for innovative financial services such as loan·insurance comparison, securities and real estate content, data intelligence, and advertising.

Newly appointed Executive Vice President Jo Jaebak is a developer by training with a major in computer engineering. After working at various IT companies and consulting firms, he led the Digital Division, consisting of about 200 members, and the company-wide Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center at Samjong KPMG. He is an expert in finance and AI. Jo has led the digital strategy formulation, AI adoption, innovation, and transformation for major domestic financial institutions and companies. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Financial Services Commission's Financial Development Deliberation Committee, Regulatory Innovation Task Force, and the AI Privacy Public-Private Policy Council of the Personal Information Protection Commission, performing various policy advisory activities in finance and AI fields.

Naver Pay stated that it recruited Jo Jaebak, who has experience in various fields such as digital, AI, fintech (finance + technology), and policy advisory, to accelerate innovation. Under the motto "Technology that expands finance," Naver Pay is evolving beyond simple payment services into a comprehensive financial platform.

Executive Vice President Jo said, "As the importance of fintech is increasing worldwide, I will further develop innovative financial businesses at Naver Pay, which is leading domestic fintech, to establish competitiveness as a global fintech platform and at the same time enable financial consumers to enjoy more benefits."
