Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jongbok) will be recruiting students for the ‘2024 3rd Gijang-gun Citizen University and Gijang-gun Citizen Language School’ for two days from the 9th to the 10th.
This session of Gijang-gun Citizen University is divided into general education courses, humanities courses, and the 5060 New Middle-aged courses, offering a total of 34 classes.
Various hobby, cultural, humanities, and certification courses are available, including ▲Heart Resonance Music Therapy ▲Humanities Travelogue for Gijang Citizens ▲Korean Poetry Recitation Academy, as well as customized lifelong learning classes for the 5060 New Middle-aged group, such as ▲My Own AI Video Production - Gijang Honorary PR Team ▲Strength Training & Stretching for Anti-Aging.
The Gijang-gun Citizen Language School will offer 35 programs, including English, Japanese, Chinese, and other language courses at various levels, as well as mobile classes.
The language programs are structured from beginner to native speaker classes so that citizens can experience various languages step by step. Courses to spark interest in language learning have also been prepared, such as ▲English Storytelling for Seniors ▲Travel Japanese ▲One-Day Special Classes.
The Citizen University will run from September 30 to December 7, and the Citizen Language School will run from September 30 to December 10, both as 10-week courses. Priority will be given to Gijang-gun residents aged 20 or older or those working in Gijang-gun. For the 5060 New Middle-aged courses at Citizen University, applicants must have been born before December 31, 1973.
Those wishing to enroll can apply through the Gijang-gun Lifelong Learning website.
Jeong Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, stated, "We will actively support the opening of more diverse courses at Gijang-gun Citizen University and Gijang-gun Citizen Language School so that citizens can achieve satisfaction and happiness in life through learning."
