On the 3rd, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted the 'Second Half Promotion Training' for 108 newly promoted level 8 public officials at a lecture hall in Changwon Moonseong University.
The promotion training, which aims to further strengthen job competency so that officials can perform their duties according to their new ranks, has been held twice a year?in the first and second halves?since March this year. The curriculum was designed to actively reflect the needs of employees who wish to receive basic competency training, covering subjects such as budget accounting, legal practice, and report writing.
The trainees for the second half include 225 public officials promoted to levels 6 to 8 during the July regular personnel appointments. To facilitate focused small-group learning, the training for the larger groups of levels 7 and 8 was divided into two classes. In addition, professional instructors with extensive teaching experience were invited to conduct the two-day training, significantly increasing participants' engagement in learning.
Shim Dongseop, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, "The promotion training is a process that enhances learning retention by combining classes with achievement assessments, which will help employees fully demonstrate their job performance at their new ranks." He added, "We will continue to offer various competency-building programs so that our staff can keep growing as members of the public sector and lead innovative administration."
Meanwhile, the second half promotion training is scheduled for level 8 officials from the 3rd to the 6th, level 7 from the 9th to the 12th, and level 6 from the 24th to the 25th.
